Re:  Enrollment

From:  Peggy Bahr

I am looking forward to the 2011-2012 school year and want to welcome all of our returning families. I also send a special welcome to all families who are new to our school this year.  We thank you for entrusting your children with us.

This year we welcome Fr. Dwight Birket as our new Pastor.  I’m excited for our students to get to know and learn from him.  Fr. Birket is an experienced Pastor for Catholic schools, and I’m sure he will bless us with many good suggestions and ideas for growing in our Catholic faith.

I am pleased to introduce Miss Jennifer Wagner as our new afternoon third grade teacher.  She will also work in the mornings as our Title I reading and math instructor helping students who need extra support in those areas.  She comes to us with ten years of Catholic school teaching experience, most recently in Abilene.

Envelopes were sent out last week regarding enrollment on Wednesday, July 27.  You may either mail your enrollment information before July 27th, or bring it with you to enrollment.  If you mail your enrollment forms and money there is no need for you to come in on July 27th.   We do ask that all enrollment forms be turned in by the 27th to assist us with textbook orders and planning.  Enrollment time on July 27th is from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.  Please make separate checks for enrollment fees, lunch/milk tickets, and KinderCare.

If your child has been a student at SJS in the past, you will not need to fill out an enrollment form.  Instead, we ask that you proof the enclosed demographics page and make changes where needed.   Please return it with the enrollment fees and forms so that we may keep our files updated.

Also enclosed in your packet was your student's handbook.  Please read it carefully and check out the changes to the attendance and uniform policies.  This year all uniforms must be purchased from either French Toast or Parker Uniforms.  Information about ordering from both is included in the packet

For your convenience, a representative from Parker Uniforms will be at the school on enrollment day, July 27, from 2-4 pm.  Your child may try on the uniforms that day to purchase or order.

God bless you, and we will see everyone on the first day of school-August 17th.  Be sure to check the parish and school website at www.stjosephmcpherson.com.
