If you are reading this message, then you have taken the first step in becoming acquainted with our new parish website.  Thank you for your willingness to participate in this effort of communication.  My hope, as Pastor of St. Joseph's, is that you will find this site to be an easily accessible way of learning what is taking place in our parish.  It is also my hope that each time you return, you will see something new or different that helps you remain in contact with our parish family.

Working with a diocesan-based Website "construction" and consultation company called Solutio (www.solutiosoftware.com), we have created this site as a means of reaching out to our parish members and also evangelizing through the use of technology. The model that Solutio provides is one in which a number of different parishioners may contribute website updates for the different parish organizations or activities which they represent.  Sharing the responsibility of updating our site should keep information more current and fresh and, thus, of greatest benefit to our parish members. 

For the past several weeks, I, along with our parish secretary, Marian Hall and school principal, Peggy Bahr, have been adding information to the site for both parish and school calendars, parish committees, and parish activities.  Most of the information has been entered, but we are already considering further, helpful items of news or information that we can continue to add.  We are grateful to Mr. Al Jirak, the web design specialist with Solutio, for having spent a full day with us to teach us the features of website maintenance.
