Tammy Gipson teaches fourth through sixth grade science, fourth and sixth grade social studies, as well as fifth and sixth grade religion, spelling and technology.
Tammy received a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1988 from Fort Hays State University. She taught various combinations of grades three through six at St. Joseph School since her graduation and taught one school year (1993-1994) at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Newton Kansas.
Tammy’s teaching philosophy includes instilling in the children a zest for learning that she models with the enthusiasm she brings to the classroom. As a teacher, she strives to be "extraordinary" because she feels that anyone can be ordinary. She believes in a firm, fair, friendly and fun classroom and is dedicated to ensuring the students grow spiritually, mentally, academically, and emotionally during their preteen years.
Tammy and husband Michael have five children: Marlies-21, Brent-16, Brady-14, Brycen-8, and Brennan-4. All of their children have or are currently attending St. Joseph Catholic School.
Tammy’s favorite mantras are "Remember to live the Golden Rule" and "There is a place for everything because everything has a place". |
