Accelerated Reader

All students are reading for AR.  The same books they read for this program may and will count towards the Book-It program that will run Oct.-March.  Each student has met with their Reading teacher and has developed a Reading Plan.

Each student’s reading goal is set-up on an INDIVIDUAL basis.  Each child will work toward maintaining an 85% reading average at their set reading level.  Points to earn each 9 weeks have been set up with each student individually.  Please ask your child to bring home their AR reading log to view the individualized plan for the 9 week period.

There will be a checklist of 11 genres to read by the end of May in order to qualify for the school wide AR party.
