We will rotate a “snack bucket” among all the children throughout the school year. When it is your turn to provide snack, your child will come home with the snack bucket. We ask that snacks be healthy and nutritious and that they be ready to serve each individual child. For example, if there are 12 children in your child’s class and you send fruit to eat, please divide it into twelve baggies or containers so that it is ready to eat. We will have a refrigerator that things may be stored in so feel free to bring refrigerated items such as yogurt, cheese, or pudding. Crackers and other snacks may be brought as well. Milk will still be provided so you do not need to bring a drink.
We understand that there may be times when the bucket is forgotten so we will have snacks here if needed. We hope this procedure will allow us to have more nutritious snacks each day. If you have any questions concerning this, please feel free to contact me.
